Mindmapper is producer/dj from Eindhoven, the netherlands. At the age of 16 he started working in a local bar and got in contact with the Redzone-crew (Martyn, Nymfo, Pressure and Jay) that had regular nights at this bar. This crew inspired him to start making drum&bass and get into dj-ing as well. He got to stick close to the redzone family (doing recordings and enjoying the many (pre)parties) for a couple years before the concept was ended in 2007 (but part of it lives on in the concept called ICON runned by mr Nymfo).

At that time he had already invested quite some time in gaining musical-skills. He started taking painolessons at a fairly young age since his parents teach and perform music. After six years he switched over to electric guitar and formed a band with a couple of schoolmates soon after. Wanting to write and record songs the band invested in a 4-track tape recorder. The next step was the building of a small recording & rehearsal studio in a double garagebox with a new band that was formed after the old one dissolved by lack of space to play. An upgrade of the 4-track recorder to a computer made it possible to record & play more tracks simultaneously. Soon Mindmapper started to cut some recordings he did into new compositions after starting to investigate the possibilities of the computer. This resulted in computerbased compositions with a growing focus on drum&bass during the years.

Mindmapper's "style" could be described as heartripping beats with bloodcurdling atmospheres. His productions nowadays get support from ones like: Verse, Loxy, Bailey, Jubei, Gremlinz, Nolige, Nymfo, Madvibes, Dymond, Empress (and many more...).

Mindmapper is currently finishing his study "Audio Design" @ HKU in Hilversum by writing/producing an album so keep watching this space for updates....
